— rockysifu started following you
Zuko had beenhere for little more than a few hours and he had yet to find anyone who could tell him just where ‘here’ was. Though he wasn’t exactly eager to go around asking for help, he shouldn’t even need help to find his way around here. However, it was starting to get cold and his crimson robes weren’t exactly helping against the chill the wind was sending through him. His steps quickened as he walked down the near empty streets, mouth twisted into a scowl. He didn’t have time for this, there was a war going on and he needed to be there.
The sound of footsteps behind him caught his attention, spinning round amber eyes met with wide clouded ones framed by jet black bangs. “Toph,” he called, hurrying towards the small figure. “What are you doing here? Where are we?” |

Walking into the city Zuko felt much more at ease, yes it was crowded here and that would normally have meant there were that many more chances for someone to spot him - to see him for who he really was - but now he knew where he was he realised he didn’t have to worry about that here. Now all he had to do was find some food.
It had been a long day, in truth Zuko wanted nothing more than to find a way home but it had been made clear that was near impossible, people left every now and again but no one knew how or even if they made it back home. For now he would settle for getting something to eat and going back to his, ugh, hut.
Amber eyes darted around the various selection of food shops and stalls, all carrying strange and unfamiliar products. Well, it seemed he wasn’t about to find any ‘home comforts’ here.
As rain flecked across the paving stones, dripping down his raven locks he decided to duck into the nearest store. If he couldn’t find anything he recognised he might as well go for the closest option. However, it seemed it wouldn’t be quite that easy. As he got the counter he was annoyed to find his money was no good here and of course his annoyed utterances of ‘don’t you know who I am’ did nothing to help win her over. No, she didn’t know who he was and being ‘Prince of the Fire Nation’ meant nothing here. Turning away, a scowl on his face he saw one of the other customers stepping towards the door.
“Hey wait!” He cried, quickly following after him - embarrassment flooding over him at actually having to ask for food. From a stranger no less.
“Um, you wouldn’t have any going spare would you…?”
